God. Abba. Father.

We thank you today that the only strength we have is because you are our strength. In our weaknesses, we find strength, we find your grace and your hope. We rejoice in our salvation, through your Son, our Messiah. Thank you, Lord, for giving us our heart’s desire. When our requests match your will for us, you are quick to say “Yes! and Amen!”

We thank you that you have blessed us on earth, but you have even greater rewards waiting for us in heaven. We will wear a crown of life, eternal life. We will enjoy spiritual riches that we cannot fathom. Thank you that we are honored only because Jesus is honored. You have made us glad. Our heart rejoices! We trust you and only you. Your kindness brings us favor and victory.

Thank you, Jesus, for conquering death. Thank you for defeating the enemy. Thank you for your grace that will receive anyone who turns to you. Thank you for righting wrongs. Thank you that even when others plot harm, only you can turn evil into good. For your glory.

Show your strength, Yahweh! Be exalted! We will proclaim the news of your great love for all of us! We will rejoice in your power and provision. Now and forever.

God. Abba. Father.

Hear our prayer. Turn your ear toward us. Today. And anytime we are in distress, or in trouble, or in pain. Keep us safe. Send us your divine help from your holy mountain. Come to our rescue.

Accept our offerings of praise. Accept our sacrifices of time. Be pleased with our gifts.

Humbly we ask that you might give us the desires of our hearts. May all our plans succeed. So that then, we may celebrate you and shout for joy over all you have done for us. May we lift up your holy name! Please, God, hear our prayers. May we trust that you will work everything out for your glory and our good.

We trust you. You will save us. Not the things of our hands. We do not trust in machines or inanimate objects. We know that we will stumble and fall if we put our trust in the things of man. No, we will only trust in you. We proclaim that we will be strong and we will, by your grace, stand firm, as we trust in you and you alone.

Thank you that we can be assured we will have the victory, we will have success, as you hear our cries and answer our prayers.

To God be the glory! In Jesus’ name.

God. Abba. Father.

The heavens rejoice day after day. We look up and we see how glorious you are! We see the beauty in the morning sunrise and the evening sunset. From day to night, silently, they reveal your greatness and your truth! From the east to the west, all around the globe, your name is praised by the clouds and the sky! This earth is like a dome, a tent. The sun brings heat and warmth for plants and animals and us. It draws us to you daily.

Your Word, Lord is truth. Everything makes sense through your Word. You give wisdom to each one of us, ordinary people. And it refreshes our souls. Your teachings make our hearts glad. Your instruction is worth more than the finest gold and silver.  All of your decisions are fair and true. We worship you, always.

Thank you for your great forgiveness. Fill us with your Holy Spirit. Don’t let sin bring us down to ruin. Don’t let sin have control over our lives. Let us start and end each day innocent of any transgression.

May the words of this prayer be written on our hearts, not just empty words. We proclaim that you are our rock, our protector, and the One who redeems us. Through the blood of Jesus. Amen!

God. Abba. Father.

We love you Yahweh! You are our strength, our rock, our fortress, our shelter, our shield, our safe place. You are where we run to when we’ve run out of places to run. We praise you because you have saved us from death. When we’ve made decisions that were certain to cause great harm to us or those we loved, you have stepped in, forgiven us and delivered us. You heard our cries for help when we were in trouble. From your holy throne, we had an audience with you of one. Because you love us so!

Your anger is just and holy. The mountains shake. The earth trembles at what you see from on high. God we know that in the unseen world you move mountains. You swoop in with angels aplenty. You fly on the wings of the wind to bring righteous destruction to those who oppose your holy ways. With bolts of lightening you rout your enemies, our enemies.

We are truly humbled, Lord, because you lift us up. You reached down from heaven and caught us from drowning in the deep waters of depression, anxiety, stress, failure, poverty, illness. You have made a way to rescue each one of us, because of your great delight in us, your children! Thank you for defending us. Thank you for giving us a fresh start each day. Thank you for rewarding us. We are seen as innocent in your eyes only because of the grace of Jesus!

Thank you that to the faithful, you show yourself as faithful. To the pure you show yourself as pure. Thank you for saving those who are humble, but in your right place you bring low those who are haughty and devious.

Thank you for keeping our lamps burning brightly. Your ways are holy and just. Your glory shines all around. Because of our savior, Jesus. In whose name we pray. Amen.

God. Abba. Father.

Thank you for Jesus. It’s only because of Him that you see us as innocent. Hear our prayers, Lord. Yes, only you say we are forgiven; only your eyes see what is right. Examine our hearts. You know that even during the night, when evil is more rampant, you know that we are pure in heart. We do what we can to speak positively and without malice. We do our best to follow your teachings and to not grow weak or stumble.

Lord, we pray to you, the One True God, because we know that you listen to us. You help us when we call out to you. You turn your ear towards us. You turn your eyes to us as well. You show us the wonders of your grace and love. We thank you that your mighty right hand protects us as we shelter under the shadows of your outstretched wings of mercy and truth.

Our enemies would love to get the best of us, would love to defeat us, would love to thwart us from doing what is right. Their hearts are hard. They are determined to smear us in the dust of the earth. They hide, stalk and crouch like a jungle animal. Rise up, Yahweh! Come to our defense. Defeat our foes. It is only by your hand that the necks of the wicked will be broken.

Thank you that you give us more than enough. Our children and grandchildren too! Thank you that through the blood of the Lamb, the sacrifice by Jesus, we are without blemish as well. We are innocent. And one day, we will see you face to face. One day, we’ll see your Kingdom come, on earth, as it is in Heaven.

By the grace of the Messiah, in whose name we pray.

Thank you that we find refuge in you, Yahweh! When the world leads us to a dead end, we can run to you for safety. You are the One True God. There is no other. We proclaim with humility “Every good thing I have is a gift from you.” We declare that indeed, nothing makes sense without you.

Thank you that your children are full of great joy deep within their souls. It is our delight to have friendships with others who follow your ways as disciples. I thank you for the connection we can have to share life in community. Together we state that we will not have any god but you, Lord. Forgive us when we miss the mark and prioritize other things over you.

You, LORD, Yahweh, are all we really want. From the depth of our hearts we say “You are our choice.” And we blush with humility to know that we are your choice first. You make our lives pleasant and fulfilling. Our future is bright. Our inheritance is secure.

We praise you for being our guide and our counselor. Even in the darkest night your Word shines brightly along the path. You protect us from fear. And when we are afraid, you bring comfort and peace. We can safely rest in your arms. Our hearts rejoice! We are happy from the inside out. You will keep us safe and secure, even death will not separate us.

You, only you, LORD, show us the path that leads to life, and life to the full. You are always near. You fill us   with great joy. We’re smiling from ear to ear for we will be honored in your Kingdom!

The evil say “God is dead. He is no more.” It seems that some days, that’s the only message we hear. We join with you, Lord, in saying that those people who say that are fools.

We thank you that you look down from heaven; you are searching all the earth for any who will seek after you. It seems that there are none, and it breaks our hearts. We join with the Psalmist in asking, “When will the evildoers learn?” Our friends and family have been devoured by the evil one. “LORD!” we cry. Spoil the plans of those who plot wrong-doing. May their false activities frustrate them.

Lord, thank you that you are on the side of the poor, both those who are physically poor and poor in spirit. Thank you that you are the refuge we seek. You, Lord, are the only one who can save us. You are the only one who will save Israel. We pray for your people. Restore those who have turned their backs on you.

One day, your children, will be glad. Because there will be peace. There will be joy. We will celebrate and sing when Salvation comes, when your Son Jesus, comes again! May it be soon!

We pray with hope, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
