Here is today’s prayer from Psalm 120:
God. Abba. Father.
Come save us. We are thankful that whenever we are in trouble, you are quick to hear our prayers. Save us from those who are dishonest, from those who would con us or make promises they cannot keep. Those who use lies as their currency will be punished. We are reminded of the proverb that death and life are in the power of the tongue. Let us be life givers and truth speakers today.
Even when we live among those who do not value truth, give us the courage to speak truth. Your truth is life. Your words are life.
Jesus is the word who is the one way, the single truth, and the abundant life.
Amen.
